Intel’s worldwide consolidated revenue declined across the supplied three-year period. Fiscal-year figures are GAAP consolidated revenue, not segment totals.

2024 $53.101 billion GAAP consolidated revenue

Intel reported that 2024 revenue was 2% lower than 2023, a company-reported comparison, and $1.1 billion lower in absolute terms. The 2024 Form 10-K also reported $16.5 billion in research and development, $25.1 billion in gross capital investments, $8.3 billion in operating cash flow and negative $2.2 billion in adjusted free cash flow for worldwide Intel Corporation.

The cash-flow measure is adjusted and non-GAAP, while gross capital investments are not net capital spending. Those definitions mean the measures should be read alongside their labels rather than treated as interchangeable indicators.

Intel Product Segment Statistics and Operating Results

Intel’s Products reporting provides separate worldwide revenue and operating-income measures for Client Computing Group (CCG), Data Center and AI (DCAI), and Network and Edge (NEX). The segment figures below are reported in Intel’s operating-segment tables and should not be summed across periods or mixed with consolidated revenue without accounting for intersegment eliminations.

Segment 2022 revenue 2023 revenue 2024 revenue
Client Computing Group $31.773 billion $29.258 billion $30.290 billion
Data Center and AI $16.856 billion $12.635 billion $12.817 billion
Network and Edge $8.409 billion $5.774 billion $5.842 billion
Total Intel Products — — $48.949 billion

Source: Intel Corporation Annual report: Operating Segments (Tables).

Operating income also differed materially by segment and year:

  • CCG operating income was $8.207 billion in 2022, $9.513 billion in 2023 and $10.920 billion in 2024 worldwide.
  • DCAI operating income was $4.198 billion in 2022, $1.620 billion in 2023 and $1.338 billion in 2024 worldwide.
  • NEX operating income was $1.532 billion in 2022, $204 million in 2023 and $931 million in 2024 worldwide.

Total Intel Products revenue of $48.949 billion in 2024 excludes intersegment eliminations and other consolidated items. That scope difference explains why it should not be compared directly with Intel’s $53.101 billion consolidated revenue as though the two were identical measures.

Intel Foundry Statistics and Manufacturing Investment

Intel Foundry revenue was reported worldwide at $27.491 billion in 2022, $18.910 billion in 2023 and $17.543 billion in 2024. The 2024 segment figure includes internal and external activity under Intel’s segment model.

Fiscal year Intel Foundry revenue Intel Foundry operating result
2022 $27.491 billion $5.169 billion operating loss
2023 $18.910 billion $6.955 billion operating loss
2024 $17.543 billion $13.408 billion operating loss

Intel’s 2024 proxy statement described several announced, ongoing or planned investments. These are estimates or plans, not necessarily realized expenditure:

  • Arizona manufacturing expansion: $20 billion of ongoing investment in Arizona, United States.
  • Ohio manufacturing mega-site: $20 billion of ongoing investment in Ohio, United States.
  • New Mexico site: $3.5 billion of ongoing investment in New Mexico, United States.
  • Planned German wafer-fab investment: €30 billion in Germany.

The proxy descriptions use ongoing or planned-investment language, so they should not be presented as cumulative cash spent or as completed projects.

Intel Geographic Revenue Statistics by Customer Billing Location

Intel’s geographic revenue figures are assigned by customer billing location. They are not direct measures of end-user demand, production location, shipment destination or chip consumption.

Customer billing location 2023 revenue 2024 revenue
China $14.854 billion $15.532 billion
United States $13.958 billion $12.994 billion
Singapore $8.602 billion $10.187 billion
Taiwan $6.867 billion $7.804 billion
Other regions — $6.584 billion

China was the largest listed billing-location category in 2024 at $15.532 billion, followed by the United States at $12.994 billion, Singapore at $10.187 billion and Taiwan at $7.804 billion. The residual “other regions” category accounted for $6.584 billion in 2024.

Because billing location can differ from where products are ultimately used or manufactured, these figures describe the commercial geography of reported revenue rather than a complete map of Intel’s physical supply chain or customer demand.

Intel Customer Concentration and Corporate Cost Statistics

Intel’s customer concentration increased on the supplied measure from 2022 through 2024. The three largest customers were anonymized in the filing, and substantially all of them were Intel Products customers in 2024.

Period Three largest customers’ share of net revenue Largest customer’s share
2022 42% Not separately supplied
2023 40% Not separately supplied
2024 45% 19%

Source: Intel Corporation Annual report: Operating Segments (Tables).

In worldwide corporate-unallocated expenses for fiscal 2024, Intel reported $6.970 billion in restructuring and other charges, $3.410 billion in share-based compensation and $1.044 billion in acquisition-related costs. These are expense classifications and are not the same as product-segment operating expenses.

The 2024 largest-customer figure describes one anonymized customer’s share of net revenue; the filing does not disclose that customer’s identity. Customer concentration therefore indicates exposure to a small number of buyers without identifying the commercial counterparties.

Intel Workforce, Global Footprint and Technology Investment

Intel’s 2024 proxy business overview reported an approximate worldwide workforce of 125,000 employees and operations in 53 countries. The workforce figure is approximate and the country count describes Intel’s company footprint, not only its manufacturing locations.

The same proxy overview reported $25.8 billion in gross capital investments in 2023. This period and document differ from the $25.1 billion gross capital-investment figure reported for fiscal 2024 in the Form 10-K, so the two figures should retain their original labels.

Additional ongoing or planned investment figures in the proxy overview included:

  • Malaysia operations: $7 billion of ongoing investment in Malaysia.
  • Israel operations: $25 billion of ongoing investment in Israel, including technology development and manufacturing operations.
  • Poland assembly-and-test plan: $4.6 billion of planned investment in Poland.

These proxy figures are announced, ongoing or planned amounts rather than realized spending. Taken together with the reported R&D and capital-investment measures, they describe a company combining a large worldwide workforce with substantial, geographically distributed technology and manufacturing commitments.
